Modules | [ peconome ]

KON-BOOT - ULTIMATE WINDOWS/LINUX HACKING UTILITY :-)

Kon-Boot is an prototype piece of software which allows to change contents of a linux kernel (and now Windows kernel also!!!) on the fly (while booting). In the current compilation state it allows to log into a linux system as 'root' user without typing the correct password or to elevate privileges from current user to root. For Windows systems it allows to enter any password protected profile without any knowledge of the password. It was acctually started as silly project of mine, which was born from my never-ending memory problems :) Secondly it was mainly created for Ubuntu, later i have made few add-ons to cover some other linux distributions. Finally, please consider this is my first linux project so far :) Entire Kon-Boot was written in pure x86 assembly, using old grandpa-geezer TASM 4.0.

PmWiki+WikiPublisher - DSMW : Distributed Semantic Media Wiki

DSMW : Distributed Semantic Media Wiki [Typeset page] DSMW is an extension of Semantic Mediawiki (SMW). It allows to create a network of SMW servers that share common semantic wiki pages. DSMW manages synchronisation of shared semantic pages and ensures CCI consistency as in Google Wave. CCI stands for Causality, Convergence, Intentions (see papers for more informations). DSMW provides to SMW nearly the same features as a Distributed Version Control systems: * you can work in isolation with your own server, test some stuff, * publish changes to your own DSMW public feeds, * you can also subscribe to any remote public DSMW feeds. By this way, users can implements their own dataflows and represents any kind of dataflow oriented processes such as edit/review/publish.

FWTools: Open Source GIS/RS Binary Kit

FWTools is a set of Open Source GIS binaries for Windows (win32) and Linux (x86 32bit) systems produced by me, Frank Warmerdam (ie. FW). The kits are intended to be easy for end users to install and get going with. No fudzing with building from source, or having to collect lots of interrelated packages. FWTools includes OpenEV, GDAL, MapServer, PROJ.4 and OGDI as well as some supporting components. Thus, I include support for ECW, JPEG2000, HDF and other file formats that require extra libraries.

inkerKit: a physical computing toolkit for designers TinkerKit is an Arduino-compatible physical computing prototyping toolkit aimed at design professionals. The interest in physical computing as an area in development within the creative industries has been increasing rapidly. In response to this Tinker.it! is developing the TinkerKit to introduce fast iterative physical computing methodologies to newcomers, and particularly design professionals. This project is currently under development by Tinker.it! We will mostly be documenting the early stages of prototyping and user research here. This is not yet commercially available.

The highly unofficial CPIP WG 11 years ago, April 1st 1990, rfc 1149 was written. This rfc specifies a protocol for IP over avian carriers, CPIP (carrier pigeon internet protocol). In 11 years, noone has bothered to implement this important protocol stack. But happily, we don't need to wait any longer! BLUG in cooperation with Vesta Brevdueforening has given you rfc 1149 support for Linux.

Pigeon TCP/IP - RIM - Ami Ben-Bassat's Blog

Will B2B (Back to Pigeons) save an endangered technology? On Friday, March 12, 2004, a group of several dozen Internet addicts from Israel and abroad, gathered in the large grass field of the OHALO Center near the Sea of Galilee. The purpose of the gathering was to try and improve Wi-Fly - pigeon-empowered wireless internet and to confront this technology against ADSL. The participants sent 3 homing pigeons to 100 km distance, each carrying 20-22 tiny memory cards containing 1.3 GB, amounting in total of 4 GB of data.
